Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus showed that human behavior is decisive in combating it, highlighting the importance of behavioral sciences and communication sciences in multi and interdisciplinary work with scientific areas such as public health, epidemiology and others. In this context, this book presents scientific approaches and social sensing methods such as social media analysis and longitudinal surveys, which allowed "listening" to citizens and “voice” their concerns, providing evidence to support risk and crisis communication, and social mobilization actions.
