Abstract
Based on the concept of aesthetics as a theory of sensual perception of beauty and of beauty and its ontological and formal essence, the article discusses the postmodern era as an anesthetic period. Theological Aesthetics – shaped by the incarnation and guided by the category of compassio – is seen as a contribution to a true aesthetic perception of the human.
