Tra visione condivisa e convivialità eucaristica: una riflessione su evangelizzazione e inculturazione

Abstract

At a time when, in a pluralistic world, Christians are increasingly ‘hosted’ and no longer ‘hosting’, increasingly ‘part of’ and no longer ‘dominating’ societies that are alien, if not hostile, to the Word and its tradition, it is useful to rediscover the ‘model’ offered by the story of the encounter between Peter and Cornelius told in the Acts of the Apostles, 10-11. It should serve as a paradigm for rethinking evangelisation and the inculturation of the Word in a dynamic of reciprocity, not of simple translation and tradition, not of simple vertical teaching, but of authentic, horizontal and reciprocal dialogue and sharing.
