Abstract

This article analyzes the television fiction by TV Brasil, the first public television network in the country, founded in 2007. The objectives involve presenting dilemmas faced by public TV between the technological changes in Brazilian contemporaneity and bidding announcements for the public selection process and productions. Methodology: documentary research, analysis of the selected themes produced by the broadcaster. The first results show that the broadcaster continues to privilege the model of state public broadcasters, prioritizing educational themes for the fiction. The TV fiction from TV Brazil prioritizes teen's themes especially the ones from lower and middle-class Income their daily life and dreams for the future.
