Inserted in the line of research on training and development: training and transformation paths this study explored the career paths of the trainers and attempted to underline the characteristics of this work activity. Trainer activity is very demanding, since as reported by Santos and Ferreira (2012), trainers are often referred to as an invisible group, segmented and diversified, and associated for instability, versatility and adaptability. This research involved the participation of eight trainers who have contributed from the description of their professional careers and analysis of the characteristics of this activity to respond to an interview guide semi-structured, that privileging a qualitative methodology. In several career paths analyzed were several reasons why trainers choosen the path of training, from the fact that they feel that their purpose for carrying out this activity, a boost, a taste for relationships with others, the actual influence of others, the lack of jobs. Each of these reasons, in their singularity, were levers to build their professional paths and despite the controversies that feel in the trajectory, the trainers are happy and proud had built the pathways and the activity they perform. It became clear from this study that the trajectories of the trainers are unique and singular. However, the activity of trainer is complex and intense, and for this reason as important not to overlook this activity and the importance it has in and for society.
