The link between christianity and joy is unmistakable. Christianity is a religion of joy. This is expressed in the Prayer of the Church, the Liturgy. It is the Joy of the Liturgy! Christian joy goes beyond mere external display and is rooted in God himself; it comes from knowing that we are saved by Him. The source of this joy is the Paschal Mystery of Christ, which is celebrated and manifested in a concrete way in the sacraments. Especially in the Eucharist and specifically in the weekly Easter Sunday, the day of the Resurrection. Therefore, the joy that comes from the Resurrection, through the Liturgy and the sacraments, is most evident on Sunday, shaping our daily lives with joy through its weekly rhythm. This day allows the Church to rediscover, witness, and share its joy. In this sense, the Missal can be seen as a collection of celebrated joy, evident in the numerous references to joy in its eucologic texts. This joy is not limited to a specific season or celebration but permeates the entire Church celebration, which is the Liturgy.
