Abstract

This report arises in the scope of the Master's Course in Nursing, specialized in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the field of Nursing for the Person in Critical Situation. It aims to describe and analyse the path taken, as well as to justify the acquisition of skills that clarify the title of Master in Nursing and specialist nurse in this specific area. The Science of Nursing, in order to keep up with the digital age that surrounds it, is seen in the demand for the use of technologies. However, the current demands for nurses' turnover in various areas and specialties emerge as a way of creating insecurity for professionals. In order to identify the advantages of using digital assistants with nurses in the practice of care, a scoping review entitled “Digital Assistants in Clinical Nursing Practice” was carried out. It was possible to perceive that digital assistance within the world of Nursing has taken its first steps in the field of teaching. However, some steps are being taken in assistance, via mobile applications, which help nurses in their practice, making them safer and more confident. This confidence and security in practice, which does not imply humility in recognizing the areas that he has less control, causes a transfer of trust and subsequent comfort to the person who needs care. Within the acquisition of skills and critical reflection of the practices developed, it was possible to carry out two internships: in the context of Intensive Care and Pre-Hospital Care, respectively. The analysis of these skills was carried out in accordance with the descriptions of the regulations that justify obtaining each of the titles, with emphasis on the domain of “continuous quality improvement” and the descriptive category of “customer satisfaction” and “well-being and self-care”. At the end of this course, I believe I have achieved the proposed objectives, both those required to obtain the titles, and personal and professional objectives that I have added over this time. I developed specialized nursing care and skills and I believe that this end will only be the beginning of a continuous development as a professional, which boasts the improvement and innovative and evolutionary development of Nursing Science.
