This study aims to identify the characteristics that Clown Doctors take into account in their intervention with children and adolescents. Seventeen individuals participated in this research, 5 male and 11 female, who were interviewed following a semi-structured script. The interviews allowed us to conclude that professionals take into consideration a set of individual and contextual factors. The personal factors identified were: age, degree of receptivity, interests and clinical limitations of the children. Regarding the factors associated with the intervention context were identified: length and use of hospital service, the modality of intervention and the adaptations to the pandemic. As such, it was possible to observe that Clown Doctors take into account different characteristics considered relevant by the scientific community when adapting their intervention to each child and adolescent with whom they interact.
