The purpose of this TFM is to study the training assessment processes in operation at CIE Plasfil with a view to compiling a set of suggestions that will enable the company to optimize its practices at this level. It can thus promote training excellence. This work adopts a qualitative research approach: a case study, making use of tools such as document analysis, participant observation and interviews to gather information on the 3 types of training chosen for analysis. It is concluded that the company currently implements a praiseworthy set of good practices, but there is some scope for improvement. That is to say, in terms of data collection it is concluded that the company has a clear idea of what should be done, but owing to various constraints this knowledge is not always systematically applied. I am therefore presenting a training assessment model developed on the basis of the existing literature. It involves 5 assessment steps: appraisal of the departure point; assessment of learning; assessment of satisfaction and the ability to transfer; assessment of transfer, and evaluation of the results. In addition, the various assessment steps suggested are included in the training cycle, and several indications are given with respect to the practices to adopt in each step to encourage training excellence tailored to the goals of the organization and the needs of its employees.
