In recent years, it has come to consolidation the communicative approach concept of foreign languages teaching, which main goal is the development of communicative competence (linguistic, sociolinguistic, discursive and strategicus) that supposes also the integration in the cultural component class. Based on the assumptions of this communicative approach, where the language processing for communication is the best way of processing the language for its acquisition, the audiovisual materials emerge as a good catalyst of authentic tasks that promote the comprehension, negotiation, production, automatization and the interaction in the target language. In this way, the video became gradually incorporated in the L2 classes, corroborating the rentability and the multiple possibilities that offers to teach a foreign language at the moment. From the diversity of existing forms of audiovisual resources that may be used in the ELE classes, we chose for the didactic application of the video, that, for being promotor of motivation and for it’s variability, generates dynamic activities essential to capture the students attention in developing the efficiency and effectiveness of the oral comprehension. The goal for this work is to reflect over the different forms of working in listening comprehension classes, exploring the possibilities that the use of video has to offer us on approaching this language activity. So, it’s aimed to confirm the premises that the use of video allows the formation of “oyentes competentes” (competent listeners), and motivates the students for the oral participation. Thereby, in this report comes to awareness the reflections made surrounding the training of listening comprehension in the Spanish class, during the pedagogic internship; and are proposed several strategies and activities for the increment of this competence in Foreign Languages (Spanish), by the use of video means.
