: análise com recurso à entrevista clínica geracional

Abstract

This research work has as main objectives understand the process of transition to parenthood, the construction of the parenting project by the couple and exploitation of expectations given the arrival of the child, based on the relational symbolic model (Cigoli & Scabini, 2006). To realize this project, it is important to understand the Family life space, or in other words, how the relationships between members are, which are the educational dynamics, and what internal conflicts exist, among others. Following this, through a qualitative study we used two instruments. Firstly, the clinical interview generational (Cigoli & Tamanza, 2009; Facchin, Molgora, Gonçalves, 2010) to show how couples build the plot around the child, which encompasses much more than the three characters from the past and family of origin to future expectations. Secondly, a projective instrument, "The design of Pregnancy", built by the author to explore through drawing the expectations of parents over the baby. The results underscored the symbolic dimension of access to parenting, suggesting that the child is born in a tangle of stories and relationships (Zornig, 2010). the couple in this phase, goes through several changes, not only linked to the past of each one, but also linked to the couple’s present, being pregnancy an influence to the way of experiencing the couple relationship (Bouchard, Boudreau & Hébert, 1996). There are developmental tasks (Iafrate & Scabini, 2003; Cigoli & Scabini, 2006) that in this stage it is expected that the couple to experience them, and the results demonstrate that the majority of these tasks begin to be experienced during pregnancy. Therefore, we can say that this phase influences the entire relational dimension (Aulagnier, 1994; Cigoli & Scabini, 2006).
