The work context is a favorable field for the manifestation of all types of discrimination. Decades after the entry of women into the labor market, sex continues to be a factor that motivates different situations of inequality. In particular, wage inequality has been a widely addressed and regulated topic. So, what could be the reason for continuing to see significant wage gaps between men and women? This dissertation intends to focus on the path that has already been taken in terms of equal pay and the effectiveness of the mechanisms created to achieve it.
