After a brief contextualization of the professional path, the Report centers itself in a period of time which starts in 2003/2004 and prolongs itself until today. At Agrupamento de Escolas de Briteiros, in Guimarães, was created a structure of educational orientation, the Integration Center of Services for Childhood of Briteiros (CISIB), with the objective of working as an activator of nets of services and programms existent in the community, capable of solving students’ and their families’ problems, in an integrated way. The analyses of this period of professional life comes from a concrete case and its contextualization around the problematic of the exclusion of childhood, community participation, school’s position within the different educational agents and politics of service integration, in order to understand how one can develop and build a dynamic of service integration for childhood, from a structure of educational orientation in school, and find the observable effects in the development of other community dynamics and the abolition of the frontiers that, traditionally, separate the school from its surroundings.
