: análise da influência da herança psíquica intrafamiliar do psicólogo em sua prática psicoterapêutica

Abstract

This research aimed to understand the extent to which the therapist's internal family accompanies and influences his psychotherapeutic practice, in addition to studying how the intrafamily psychic inheritance acts in the person's psychic formation process and in his/her relationships. More particularly, the objective was to analyze whether the psychologist's training process encompasses the elaboration of his/her intrafamily psychic inheritance and to study the influence of obscure psychic matter on family systems, on their relationships and on the psychic formation of their members. This work had, as theoretical basis, the studies of Maurizio Andolfi (2003, 2008, 2018), Vittorio Cigoli(2008), Andolfi and Angelo (1981, 1984). To fulfill the research objective, three methodological instruments were used: the Genogram, the Family Life Space and a Semi-Structured Interview, applied to a group of eight psychologist participants, with a minimum of two years of professional experience. To analyze the interviews, Laurence Bardin's (1977) content analysis method was used. As a result of the application of the instruments, we obtained data that reveal that therapists, when they do not sufficiently elaborate their internal experiences, feel limited in the therapeutic relationship. Another point observed refers to the benefits of the bonds established in the family of origin, in addition to the influences of family aspects recognized by all psychologists, especially in the interview. The application and comparison of the analyzed instruments allowed us to identify that, even when graphically the therapists represent a harmonic family, when they encounter something not elaborated in themselves, in clinical practice, they have some difficulty in continuing the therapy session. Thus, it is possible to conclude that the therapist’s self-influences professional practice, but does not determine it, because when the therapist is able to reconcile with his/her memories of past events, he/she develops skills to perform more creative interventions, including using his/her personal history as therapeutic competence.
