In a competitive and fast-paced world, employees in the banking sector deal with stress, emotional exhaustion, and work overload on a daily basis. An organization's human capital, being its greatest asset, should be its main concern. Thus, internal communication emerges as a vital force, promoting new working methods, which will foster employee well-being and the creation of a positive and healthy organizational environment. To this end, it is crucial to train leaders who promote transparent and open communication and, through the creation of new and more effective internal communication strategies, prioritize the mental health and well-being of employees in the banking sector, achieving organizational success. In this regard, through this mixed research, the results obtained from a documentary analysis and a questionnaire survey, which obtained 285 responses from employees in the banking sector, made it possible to understand the importance that internal communication plays in promoting the well-being of employees in the Portuguese banking sector. The conclusion is that internal communication is a beneficial tool within this sector, but from the respondents' perspective, their well-being is not taken into consideration.
