Abstract
Organizational culture is the set of values, beliefs, and principles that guide an organization's behavior and practices, directly influencing its functioning and success. Employee motivation, therefore, plays a decisive role in job performance, process efficiency, and overall productivity. Organizations must recognize that human capital is an essential strategic resource and that it is through employees that organizational objectives and goals are achieved. The relationship between organizational culture and employee motivation is particularly relevant, as the alignment of values, beliefs, and goals of both parties enhances organizational commitment and performance. The aim of this study was to understand the impact of organizational culture on employee motivation. The research was quantitative, descriptive, and correlational in nature, using a questionnaire administered to 205 employees of a company in the pharmaceutical sector. The results of the research showed that an organizational culture that prioritizes work structure, internal communication, recognition, and employee appreciation promotes higher levels of motivation and performance. On the other hand, it was found that structural and cultural factors can generate inequalities in the perception of fulfillment and involvement, especially in roles with less autonomy and recognition. The data obtained allowed us to respond to the specific objectives, suggesting that organizational culture is a determining factor for employee motivation and performance, and that it is essential for organizations to develop a positive culture.| Date of Award | 15 Dec 2025 |
