Abstract

This research results from an internship made in a company of the sector of recruitment and selection, during the second year of the master program in Communication Studies, Communication, Organization and Leadership, of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. The main goal of the present work was to understand the importance of internal communication as means of spreading the culture and the values of an organization. Thus to validate this reality, an intensive study was conducted having as reference the majors authors of the themes of Internal Communication and Organizational Culture. The literature review was complemented with empirical data collection. The data collection methods were interviews with the key stakeholders, and a quantitative survey targeting the other employees. This research work turned out to be fundamental to deeply understanding these two themes, as well as the importance of an emerging relationship between them.
