The purpose of the present investigation is to understand the role of the onboarding and socialization process for a better employee experience, within the hospitality industry.The study followed a qualitative methodological approach, using Sheraton Lisboa Hotel & Spa's case study with the purpose of analyzing and understanding the specific organizational context. To this end, we resorted to documental research of what is implemented by the organization, to interviews with the heads of the concerned departments, and to the elaboration of a survey to the employees in the study. The results showed that the importance of an onboarding and socialization process is quite expressive since it reflects the employee's experience and his intention to remain in the organization. The collected data from the majority of the employees shows that these processes are well implemented by the company and are felt in a positive manner by the employees.
