Abstract
This dissertation aims to analyze the of voting rights imputation held by investment funds in Portugal. To this end, a general overview of Collective Investment Undertakings is given, focusing on investment funds, with a special focus on the changes brought about by the new Asset Management Regime. Subsequently, and in reference to the same legislation, we will analyze the entities associated with Collective Investment Undertakings. Next, we will look at the legal status of investment funds, listing the different doctrinal theses. Finally, we will analyze the different criteria for voting rights imputation set out in Article 20 of the Portuguese Securities and Exchange Code, so that we can conclude with an analysis of the voting rights imputation held by investment funds.| Date of Award | 17 Sept 2024 |
