This report was included in the curricular unit of “Final Practice and Report” of the Nursing Master and specialization in the Critical Care area. This work reflects a 180 hours practice experience in two different fields, the Burn unit and the GCL - PPCIRA which is a Local Coordination group of Prevention and Control of the Infection and Antibiotics Resistance. In the contexts were constructed general and specifics goals, according to personal interest and the particularities of each service, giving the opportunity to develop and apply inherent skills to the critical care specialist nurse. Nowadays, health requirements are increasingly higher and, consequently, cares requirements as well, making it important to improve them through sustained practices that can contribute to the development of the profession. Given this factor, a scoping review about “Family Inclusion in the Intensive Care Units” was made under the theoretical framework of Myra Estrin Levin. The elaboration of this paper allowed the acquisition of competences in the investigation area and the improvement of already existing skills. It is made with the expectation to contribute as a starting point to produce new knowledge.
