Abstract

The globalized world has brought many changes, pushing organizations to constantly adapt and create a more `worker-friendly´ and technological work environment. The employees’ comfort, satisfaction and integration are becoming increasingly relevant factors to achieve a positive organizational environment, and consequently a competitive advantage.Internal Communication started now playing a decisive role, acting as mediator between the organization and their employees. Additionally, the implementation of new technologies allowed organizations to transform into a more digital environment. These new technologies allowed teleworking practices to expand, which started being used as a tool in organizational strategy, contributing to a competitiveness increase. The present research, which took place in Tabaqueira – Philip Morris, had the following objectives: 1. Understand how employees feel committed, involved and satisfied while teleworking and 2. Understand the importance of Internal Communication to the commitment, involvement and satisfaction of the employees. For the methodology, a Case Study was chosen, where 19 interviews were conducted with employees from the various company departments. The results of this study demonstrate that Tabaqueira’s employees feel committed, involved and satisfied while teleworking.
