This dissertation addresses the complex relationship between organizational culture and employee motivation in the context of company X. Drawing on established theories of organizational behavior and motivation, this study uses a survey approach to explore the multifaceted dimensions of workplace culture and their impact on employee engagement and performance. The aim of this research is to analyze the weight of each type of organizational culture in company X; to assess the levels of employee motivation in the same company, grouping it into self-determined motivation and non-self-determined motivation; and to elucidate the causal relationships between organizational culture and employee motivation, identifying the main driving and inhibiting factors. The results reveal a significant correlation between the organizational culture profiles at company X. In conclusion, this work highlights the importance of promoting an organizational culture aligned with the communicated culture - Clan and Adhocracy, leading to employee motivation and involvement, rather than the culture perceived by employees - Market and Clan. By recognizing the interaction between cultural dynamics and individual motivation factors, company X can implement specific interventions and strategies to increase workplace satisfaction, productivity and overall organizational performance.
