Abstract

The purpose of this work is to analyze the international expansion of the Portuguese company Barata & Ramilo SA, best known internationally for its French insignia Parfois. The research for this work included the contemporary theoretical framework on the internationalization of companies and the case study as a research method. The main findings indicate that it is not possible to identify linearity between the literature review and the international expansion of Parfois, which has very distinctive outlines. In the case of Barata & Ramilo SA this distinct process of internationalization paid off and therefore the company had a rapid international expansion, being now present in 51 countries.
