In the last two decades, the TSF radio channel has settled as one of the most important and respected national mass media. It has had a decisive contribution to the production of new information. Moreover, the TSF was equally responsible for the introduction of a new journalistic style, which was later partially followed by many of the main national mass media. As the entire news' sector, this channel is also going through a strong period of adaptation and is trying to profit from the options brought by the online format. Part of a process which affects all professionals, the arrival of the internet has brought about new tools which are still being explored. This work refers to my traineeship in the newsroom of the TSF radio channel between January and May 2011. It aims at analysing the ways in which the journalists in this channel make use of the internet as well as of its multiple tools. Without limiting itself to this channel, this report also offers a brief contextualisation of the broadcasting sector and a reflection on this means of communication and on the impact of the online functions.
