The aim of this study is to know and understand the perception of teachers and students regarding the importance of affectivity in the pedagogical relationship, in the learning process and in the academic success. This is a qualitative study using as data collection tools the focus group and a sociodemographic questionnaire. The sample consists of seven teachers and thirty-eight students. The research was carried out in a school integrated in schools grouping in the North of Portugal. The results corroborated the other research studies area relatively to the importance attributed to affectivity in the pedagogical relationship, in the learning process and in the student success.
