Abstract

The poetic dimension of the "self" in the educational environment. Reality and perceptions. Although it is a reflexive path about the educational space and about the people who inhabit it, we mainly focus upon the eyes and the heart of those people, being aware that what really matters are the eyes and the heart of each one of those people. Anchoring in a past where we just refuse to go through, in a present that is mostly a gift and looking for a future we like to call hope, we summon the heart, its language and its pedagogy to embrace the whole person, to inspire students and teachers and to mould the lenses with which they see school on a daily basis. The educational practices can be more or less ambitious, but they will always and only be practices. Those practices will become poor and shallow if poor and shallow those people are. Only educators with a solid human, scientific and pedagogical background will be able to shape good students and good human beings. School should be a place to learn and to form students and teachers. As an organization, the school itself learns. The various and different barriers imposed by the current school and the existing filters in context where this Reflexive Report and Theoretically Substantiated is, continue to muzzle hollers of people who just want to live and learn alongside their peers. What matters is that we should focus on the essential of the person. The whole person. In an integral education based on solid values that respect this gift called life, and deeply cherish the unique richness of each human being.
