Abstract

This study analyses and finds measure to reduce vulnerability and poverty in youths residing in the locality of Pedreira. Therefore one of the crucial questions that continue to challenge the policies of social development is the question about poverty and social vulnerability in the locality. The study was based on the following question: which measures are necessities to reduce the level of poverty and vulnerability of youths in the locality of Pedreira? Based on a stratify sample in the town of Muanza, was selected the indicators most important for the analysis of poverty and vulnerability in order to demonstrate aspects that relate to the educational system ,housing, health, energy, sanitation and social vulnerability. The study reveals a territory intra-urban necessity of government intervention at the local level and beyond the reduction of poverty, the vulnerability of young people in that locality. For the poverty index to reduce in that locality, it implies a dynamic process ,negotiations, pressure, alliances or cohesion of interests and seeking alternative that redirect the employment of those youth not only in a compensatory manner that makes their beneficiaries objects of assistance, but that they become active citizens, contributing ,through forms of social integration and development of the locality .This component consists of relevant contents to analysis the government initiatives; work training. Inserting them in studies that transforms the state and changes that will occurred in the work force with the focus on public policy aiming youths of Pedreira. Information empirical and results of the studies conducted in the period 2009-2012 in the Pedreira, district of Muanza.
