The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the Psychological Capital and the different types of Communication in the service sector, specifically within a sports organization. The sample is composed by 80 employees from the respective organization. This is a cross-sectional quantitative study, carried out through a questionnaire, applied in different departments of the organization, in order to cover the widest possible range of professions. This research has been made in a way that none of the participants felt evaluated or felt any kind of embarrassment when answering it, because it was essential to obtain transparent and unbiased results. Thus, the questionnaires were placed inside a paper box in specific places of the organization. The results showed that the Psychological Capital is positively related to the subordinates' perception on the quality of the Downward Communication. This perception is positively associated to the four facets of the Psychological Capital: Hope with correlation value of 0,80; Resilience with a correlation value of 0,83; Optimism with correlation value of 0,83 and finally Self-efficacy with correlation value 0,80. From a practical point of view, the results suggest the need for the organizations to consider the importance of the Downward Communication, as it can influence the levels of the Psychological Capital. The limitations encountered throughout this study are related to the transversal nature of the study and to the difficulties imposed by the organization.
