The dissertation hereby presented serves the purpose of letting the public know the impact which the variable remuneration received by a CEO can cause on a limited liability company. Through the elaboration of this thesis, we have come to understand that the variable remunerations which the CEOs are paid, more often than not, can be excessive and even ruin the company. Associated with these remunerations are other variants, such as retirement pensions, stock options, among others. Therefore, we figured a several of ex ante and ex post measures to be valid on this particular case. The biggest difficulty we encountered resides in the fact that this theme is too wide-ranging and we did not want to divert ourselves from the main subject.
