Abstract
Possibly, the use of instruments equipped with artificial intelligence will continue to increase, so that this technology will continue to affect and influence society. This Dissertation aims to analyze the impacts that the use of artificial intelligence by financial intermediaries has on the capital market. This will be analyzed from the point of view of civil liability. We propose to see whether or not current regimes are suitable for solving the problems raised by artificial intelligence. Therefore, we intend to see how the financial market is adapting to this new reality, as well as understand what mechanisms are available to better protect investors when damages result from the use of artificial intelligence.| Date of Award | 13 Feb 2025 |
