: o caso do Hospital CUF Porto

Abstract

The appearance of new technologies and the greater demand and expectation of patients, has been causing changes in the surgical practice. In addition to reducing costs and risk to the patient, simulation enables more active learning and the opportunity for learners to make mistakes. Surgical simulation has proved to be an efficient tool capable of meeting the new educational challenges of today's times. The purpose of this study is to analyze and understand the impact of training on the performance of physicians (specialists and interns) with specialty in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in the level I certification sessions, organized by CETEC of Hospital CUF Porto, in partnership with the European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery.
