Abstract

In the current society, more each day is required to affirm Nursing as an autonomous and differentiated profession, as a science and an art. Given the technical, scientific, political and economic developments of health care, as the ever growing need for knowledge, where reigns a reality of increasingly complex care in continuous update, advanced training is seen as a requirement that sustains and consolidates our Knowledge. Throughout these chapters, we take the path of competence acquisition in the area of Medical- Chirurgical Nursing Specialization. Provided by the scientific knowledge maturity shared and acquired during the Masters Course and enriched by personal and professional experience consolidated day-by-day, I enjoyed of several opportunities to improve and enhance caring relationships, in different contexts. This is the focus of the current report. The specific goals and activities developed in the Intensive Care Unit and the Palliative Care Unit of Hospital da Luz, report to the reading of the main and most significant experiences and concerns of the client, family and healthcare team in the process of Caring, promoting interpersonal relationships. Therefore, the learning, relational and instrumental interventions, developed, arise as the foundation of care in this Hospital Unit. We focus the relevance of visibility upon our practice through evidence and research in vulnerable areas covered by nursing care and their communication to our peers and experts. Supported by a theoretical referential, that provides credibility and quality with the acquisition of competences certification. From the perspective of reflection and analysis, I leave my professional and personal path.
