This dissertation seeks to contribute to understanding the use of social networks to produce narratives of television entertainment. To achieve this objective, we selected the Facebook of the reality show Secret Story 3, as a paradigm of analysis, and we set out to answer the question: "How is that social networks are used for the construction of entertainment narrative in Portugal? " As a theoretical framework we looked at the television studies, particularly in the more recent studies that seek to examine new ways to produce and consume television as the "Theory of Multimediations" Gomez (2005), the influence of Web 2.0, and concepts related to "transmediação narratives" (Lopes, 2012) and "creative audience" (Castells, 2004), as well as the more traditional theories arising from "Cultural Studies" and "Analysis of Texts." Based on these perspectives, began an exploratory empirical object of adopting a mixed methodology (qualitative and quantitative) based on the work developed by Obitel (2012). Thus, we proceeded to the formal analysis of the reality show, we analyzed the comments on the social network Facebook, at two selected moments, crossing them with content served by their television broadcasts. The analysis results demonstrate the existence of indicators of a stake in Facebook by an audience increasingly participatory; however, co-authored narratives of entertainment are not yet verified.
