New technologies are very present in today's society and schools are no exception to that. However, we not always know how to use it in order to enhance the process of teaching and learning in the specific case of students with Cerebral Palsy. These students typically have difficulties in communication, motor control and learning. In this research, we aim to verify how a support communication technology can assist a child with Cerebral Palsy to increase her vocabulary, in this case we used a specific computer software. Bia Project, used in our research, is an augmentative and alternative communication system, more specifically an assistive technology. It is a free software and it’s available online. Based on the design of single-subject research, the results found in the intervention, performed with a student with cerebral palsy, allow us to conclude that the use of this particular software enabled increasing her vocabulary, as well as the development of her communicative process.
