In nowadays society, information is established as a key element of economical, social, cultural and political life and its access conditions the individual and collective course of citizens. Information has become an essential tool to individuals who are sup-posed to be active, participant, critical and useful in this increasingly demanding and competitive society. This growing recognition of information importance in the individual and societies’ development and the new possibilities that the Web 2.0’s arrival brought, demand new profound transformations at education level from what school libraries should not be alienated. Having in account these premises, this work aimed to know the Web 2.0 tools’ applicability in the educational context to find out in what way its use can influence the school libraries mission accomplishment and to evaluate the implementation level of this type of professionals schools in the region of North. From the obtained results, we have pointed out the unawareness of Web 2.0 concept. Despite of that, students have enjoyed their potentialities, showing great interest in Web 2.0 tools, and particularly in communication tools.
