The work presented is divided into two parts: The first focuses on general considerations about the current theme of accessibility in the city overall, and for an urban space in particular. It concerns about the role of architecture in shaping the public space and its contribution to improve the quality of life in cities, and its practical application in an individual proposal of Urban Integrated Project, serving in an international competition for architecture students: Schindler Award 2012, specifically accomplished in the Swiss capital, Bern. The programmatic theme is "Access For All". It should be noted that Bern is considered the European capital of accessibility. In this context to apply the concepts, was made an approach where we try to focus on several key aspects such as: accessibility, morphology, ecology, planning, urban transitions and continuity, form, function, among others, to ensure that the whole space intervention is accessible to everyone. The second part will try to explain the strategy in a process of urban continuity and take advantage of the beautiful landscape naturalized that the city offers. The aim is also to demonstrate the importance of the architect so that, through architectural interventions and urban planning to scale up the construction of a building for a very specific use in an architectural sense, it can improve the urban space, making that users in this case, the so-called "risk groups" feel cherished, in expectation of social inclusion. Here, the social role will be closely linked to the design of space that you want to retrain in order to give continuity to the ancient Medieval city of Bern with an idea of "neighborhood unit", so that users of the building can feel reintegrated into community in a close relationship with each other.
