Abstract

The report seeks to outline the course and skills developed for the provision of skilled nursing care in the area of Pediatrics and Child Health, through the experiences provided in Primary Care and Hospital in context. To this end, the activities implemented in the Health Center of Odivelas, in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Hospital de Santa Maria, a respected reflexive methodology supported by scientific evidence, the mobilization of previous experiences and individual learning needs , emphasizing interventions designed to support parents, as central figures and structuring the process of child care and family with the general purpose/cross: developing skills for advanced nursing care to children / families, promoting a suitable host. Of these, the construction I highlight Reception Guide, conducting training and a project on the Reception: the perception of parents.
