The Heroic Imagination Project (HIP) seeks to redefine heroism and make it more relevant to the present, based on the conviction that it is not an exclusive competence of exceptional people, but a mindset and a set of prosocial nature of habits that can be learned, encouraged and modeled, and are achievable by anyone at any time in your life (Zimbardo, sd). The development of a heroic imagination prepares the person to take action if and when the time comes. When we self-label, "I am a hero-in-waiting" increases the likelihood of taking a heroic action when the situation demands such overt behavior, encouraging them to identify personal attributes that are needed for heroic action (Blau, Franco & Zimbardo, 2009). This project aims to adapt and validate one of the scales of Educational HIP assessment protocol. The sample consists of 1500 participants. After the sample, the acquired data were released in a computer database and processed by SPSS. This scale showed good psychometric characteristics, allowing the use of this version in Portugal.
