Football is a cultural manifestation which may have a recreational component and thus, without the element of conflict, be grounded in wellbeing and the taking up of a sports activity, but it also has a competitive component which builds up and breaks down so-cal because it is the sport of choice of the masses worldwide, able to mobilize high numbers of individuals around two disputing teams and awaken a wide range of behaviors and emotions based on game results and incidents. spheres play out along media lines (television, the internet, cell phones, advertising, etc.), structuring identity, needs and expectations, football supporters find a way to express themselves emotionally on new social networking sites. This dissertation aims to understand the mediation of football supporters emotions on facebook. It seeks to underst through an analysis (both textual and quantitative) of the contents generated by supporters on the new social network sites, online expressions of emotions in reaction to the sporting performance, success and failure of football teams.
