The present study aims to show the impact of the Export Promotion Agencies (APE) on the companies export performance, through the participations of the companies on international events such as international missions and international trade shows. There is extensive literature about the impact of EPA on companies export performance. Several authors claim that there is a positive relation between these two variables, some on the other hand affirm the opposite and few haven’t find any relation at all. To understand the impact described, an investigation study was conducted, based on an extensive literature analyse. A survey and telephonic interviews were developed to companies that in the previous three years had participated in international missions organized by EPA. The results allowed to understand that EPA have been contributed to companies export performance by enable them a greater use of their available resources as human resources, time and capital invested. However companies still perceive greater contribution to export performance by participating on trade fairs and business missions individualy.
