This research project is the realization of a theoretical work in the academic year 2011/2012 the Portuguese Catholic University, for the degree of Master of Architecture. This work will therefore be treated the theme that contributes to the theoretical projection of intervention for a better understanding. There will be cover topics such as mobility, sociology, ecology and environments. The study of mobility is obviously due to the overall theme (Access for All) and is therefore addressed not only in specific topics but also appears slightly in all subjects. The subject was sociology worked together with geography because due to the specific characteristics of Bern as a peninsula made by the Aare River and its constant height differences, making Berne only in social terms. Furthermore its location with respect to Europe makes it as many cities in Switzerland, a city with a unique history. The theme of ecology is quite important because the great concern of the Swiss, as their habitat, which is a model to follow, but as this is very different from what we are accustomed to having in Portugal was need further study. In this sense it was important to study the placement of vegetation in urban spaces. Finally the study of environments was more related to the proposal itself, to devices through integration and renewal create in this part of the city, spaces for themselves unique and appealing to both locals and tourists, which should be the target of any proposed urban. So be held this project work, starting after the explanation for the project itself in all its aspects.
