The following report describes the professional experience in the TEIP School EB2,3 Dr Nuno Simões during the year 2011/2012. Beyond the educational and working place, this school is also a place to enhance creativity in the students and an important bond to local community. Many inclusive activities (curricular and extracurricular) were developed to increase the democratic participation and empowerment of students. In this work, there was a special role for each actor in this school: the training teacher, the collaborative teacher, the trainee teacher, the students, the teachers of the Maths and Science Departments, the Information and Communication Technologies’ teachers, the Head teachers and the Headmasters and the assistants. We tried to report the emotions, positive and negative aspects and make a final balance of the options taken in this course and in the II cycle of studies in Technology, of the Faculdade das Ciências Sociais in the Braga Regional Centre. Along with all the concerns previously mentioned and as an answer to the need of a scientific basis for the supervised teaching practices, we built a scientific article that was presented in the Jornadas de Ensino de Informática on 14th June 2012. The topic developed was “Game based learning in Technology teaching”. All the research work within the Education Sciences was very important to help in the classroom practice and in the scientific article development.
