This report was written as an assignment for the subject Supervised Teaching Practice and Report (STPR) as part of the Masters Degree in ICT Teaching from the Social Science Faculty of the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga. In this research work that deals with the analysis of pedagogical practice, we present, in detail, both a personal reflexion regarding the learning accomplished and the potential assets and restraints of being a teacher. This introspection is supported by not only theoretical assumptions that are based on the proposition of lifelong learning in the knowledge and information society, but also the advantages of the ICT/computing subject as basis for the learning inside or outside the classroom, the cross-curricular skills acquired in this area and the appreciation of non-formal and formal learning in an educational/training context. Therefore, we reflected on the ICT ‘Learning Outcomes’, a reference in a cross curricular perspective that extends beyond the walls of the classroom, helping to strengthen the concept of lifelong learning and an opportunity to make the transformation of practices come true, articulating and integrating ICT in skills development programs and guidelines expressed in the current curriculum, preparing students fully for life in the information society and communication, and enhancing the interaction and differences of each for the benefit of learning. We also discuss the role of the teacher/mediator who is no longer the knowledge communicator, but an active decision maker as far as the curriculum management is concerned and the way he analyses and investigates his practices and the environment of the school where he works on behalf of the real needs of his students. A teacher who adapts the curriculum, acting on the standards imposed. We also present the study for the scientific component planned for the second year of the master degree, bearing in mind the consolidation of theoretical and methodological research skills in science education and lifelong learning. We researched and reflected on the use of online surveys and its importance in teaching practices, and how they can be a simple, free, green, reusable tool, adapting it to new situations, which, as we observed, some teachers already use for personal and professional purposes but still do not mobilize the potential of this resource for classroom practices.
