This dissertation focuses on the changes introduced by Law No. 93/2019, 4.th of September, to the regime of fixed-term employment contract. We aim to carry out a global analysis of the main changes introduced by this law, which aimed to combat job insecurity. We intend, in this way, to study the theoretical and practical consequences of these changes, according to the objectives established by the legislator. Thus, given the natural limitations of the format, we do not carry out an in-depth analysis of all the changes linked to the fixed-term fixed-term contract regime, having focused on those that constitute what we consider to be the fundamental pillars of the changes.
