: um aluno com esquizofrenia

Abstract

This essay intends to value our professional career, by understanding that the practice of teachers is much more than teaching: it is learning at all times, because the children who attend our schools are neither a defined nor static element that fits the mold of theories and pedagogical systems if we do not have the better judgment to adjust them and also to adapt ourselves constantly. It is also intended, not by denying the importance of any type of training, even for brief periods, to emphasize that there are subjects that, due to their depth and complexity, deserve from us more than just a few hours and in this sense, it was pertinent to develop the present work, based on scientific grounds to serve educational and didactic purposes, since mental illnesses have nothing of simple nor of short. In a probably not so usual way in this kind of project, it is shown what was not known about what it was necessary to understand and know how to proceed with a student because the complexity of his problem was unknown. Here is, therefore, an approach, which is to be understood as simple, to a specific aspect of mental illness, with the pretension of learning such a noble theme, but in such a hard and so little explored reality. We focus on the case of a schizophrenic pupil who entered our school in the 5th year, in this so called "normality", and in the 7th year he became "another student". In this context, this work intends to list the impact of its limitations, which were much more than school-based. Thus, given the problem in question, it is discovered that an environment of well-being should be provided for students with mental illness in the first place, so that we can then move on to educational and social concerns, in order to promote equal opportunities, as well as an adequate framework in active life.
