Abstract
This dissertation will focus on the market and legislative requirements imposed on companies when it comes to complying with ESG criteria. We will begin by analysing the evolution of the concept of Responsible Business, detailing the concept of ESG, its fundamental pillars and the various factors that influence compliance. We then set out to analyse how market players influence companies' actions, as well as legislative efforts to hold them accountable in terms of their social responsibility. Finally, we will try to reflect on how these two approaches, the market and the legislative, combine to encourage companies to fulfil ESG criteria.| Date of Award | 11 Apr 2025 |
