During my Supervised Teaching Practice, when teaching unit 2 of the sixth year: “Jesus, a man for others”, a fundamental question related to Jesus' parable arose: Is this “pedagogical resource” of interest today? Hence came the theme of the report: Jesus’ parables and its actuality in the art of teaching. These stories that Jesus told had as a background the images of people's daily lives and through which a message was transmitted that, in most people, was engraved in the memory and in the heart. He didn't make judgments, he only made his interlocutors feel implied in the story, make their own conclusions and decide their own path. Among other presented parables, the parable of the Good Samaritan served as a basis for launching the question and to outline a work proposal adapted to our reality. I discovered that the parables are an asset in the development of the pedagogical work to be carried out with the students. With the help of several authors, such as Daniel Daniel Marguerat, Joachim Jeremias, Armand Puig, Joachim Gnilka, Richard Arends and the various authors of the EMRC Program, I have been dissecting the concept of parable and understanding its role today. After this study, I can conclude that the parables of Jesus are still relevant in the art of teaching, in fact the message they announce is already present in the world and is always current because it is the language of God's love for the human being and, through simple examples, show that it is possible to love God and neighbor as He loved and taught. We can even say that the parables are clear reflections of the being and living of Jesus in his relationship with God, his FATHER and with humanity.
