Assistência de imagem e montagem na Olhar de Ulisses

Abstract

This is the report from the internship at the film production Olhar de Ulisses, in partnership with Cimbalino Films, where I executed the positions of image assistant, editor assistant and designer. Throughout this report is described in detail, the progress of the projects from this production team, as well as my own participation and learning in each of these positions, that were assigned to me. Over the period of six months, I had the opportunity to participate as image assistant in the shooting of Grito by Luís Costa and the musis series Pinehouse Concerts. Other projetcs, I joined in the position of editor assistant, what constituted the central part of this internship. Some of those projects were: At Sixteen by Carlos Lobo, Saturn by André Guiomar and Luís Costa, Mercy Games by Mário Macedo, a series Eclipse by Luís Costa and Sangue & Mármore by André Guiomar. Aditionally to these projects, due to my studies in graphic design, the company also asked for the design of some graphic content to promote their film projetcs, in particular designing post cards for the film Skin River by Mário Macedo to be screened at the Internacional Film Festival in Cairo, Egipt. Designing cards for the film At Sixteen by Carlos Lobo to be premiered at Berlinale Generation 14plus 2022, at last, designing the oficial website for Olhar de Ulisses. Based on the projects I was involved in the duration of this internship, the theme to explore in this report was dedicated to the process of editing, since this was na essential part of my internship. In this section, following the example of the last project made in the internship - Sangue & Mármore, it is created a reflexion about editing, considering the method onscreen drafting created by Karen Pearlman.
