Abstract

This report describes and relates the theoretical and practical processes during my Curricular Internship in the Image Assistant area in Lightbox and Toolbox. Lightbox, an audiovisual production company based in Porto, was the company that welcomed me for six months to carry out the internship, as well as its partner company, Toolbox, in which I was inserted from the first day because it was occupied by the technicians in the area and for having all the equipment used in the productions. In this report, I intend to provide a context in which some of the functions of the audiovisual area are addressed, later relating them to the multiple roles that I played throughout my internship. In addition, a detailed theoretical foundation will also be presented, which will be related to what is the effective practice in the audiovisual panorama. For this, practical and personal examples will be taken from the context of the internship and the chosen company, representative of the dynamics of an audiovisual production company in Portugal, will be used.
