Abstract

The internship is a fundamental part of the professional’s development, since it is the first contact with the area and then I begun to put into practice all the theoretical knowledge. This report sought to describe all the activities during the internship and demonstrate the results. The internship took place in Associação de Moradores das Lameiras, more specifically, in Gabinete Social do Edifício e Gabinete de Atendimento e Acompanhamento Social das freguesias de Antas e Calendário. The first activity aimed to develop the characterization of residents´ socio-economics status from the housing estate of Lameiras. This activity was developed accordingly to the social office’s building. The second activity intended to carry out a social analysis of the Social Action and Social Integration´ beneficiaries, which had the main purpose of the parishes of Antas and Calendário´ Social Services. During this work, we can conclude that all activities of Lameiras´ Social Housing became very important and of great advantage, because it allowed to know the reality of the community as well as their needs and thus working to improve the residents´ quality of life
